There are several fundraising events for our Oklahoma Celtic Music and
Heritage Festival coming up that you will not want to
miss.
June 7th at the Elks Lodge there will be a Whisky Tasting Tour of
Scotland. Call the Elks Lodge in the evening for tickets. Time
will be 7:30pm and the cost is $20.00 for participants and $10.00 for

like to thank Mike for allowing us to share in his special day. Time

January 16, 2008
We now have a store and occasionally we will be setting up at various
shows and events. Please see our
homepage for our new location and hours of operation. |
Nov. 23, 2007
Ahhhh, it's snowing and that is classified as "weather permitting", and
that means we will not be setting up.
We are continuing our search for a home for the Scotsman. If we can find
one just for the winter (probably
until June) I will for one be glad. But if weather is nice next Sat. we
will be open. We also will have many
new items for Christmas gifts. We hope you all had a safe and fulfilling
Thanksgiving. |
Nov. 10, 2007
We may open in the morning but will only be open till noon. That's if
the winds hold off that long. I would
like to say that with the season comes bad weather, whether it's wind,
rain or snow. If on the news it looks like
the weather will be good then we will be setting up. We are not going to
go away, we will always be back. Dennis
and I have decided that we will wait till Spring to look for a permanent
home for the Scotsman. |
Oct. 20, 2007
Keep track of your weather station, if the winds will be more than 10 -
15 miles an hour, we will NOT sit up.
Last week while we sat up we spent more time chasing boxes and keeping
our tents secure than we did with
our customers. We are sorry, if you have been looking for us, we hope to
set up next weekend. We are still in
business. But we are now into late fall and beginnings of winter so
unless we find a store somewhere, there may
be weekends that we cannot sit up. Please check our inventory online, if
there is anything that you would like to
see, send us an email and we will contact you. |
Oct. 6, 2007
We will not be setting up this weekend at the 6th street site.
However, we will be set up inside the Payne
County Expo Center, located at the fairgrounds. There is an event
taking place there and the public are invited
I believe. Stop out and see us at our booth inside the big building. |
Sept. 29, 2007
Greeting everyone, We thought that we were going to set up this weekend.
However Dennis is still under
the weather. The winds are suppose to be between 15 - 30 miles an hour
today and since we are setting up
on the concrete there is no where to tie down to. So between the two we
decided that we would not set up
today. I am sorry that I didn't get this in before now, but up until the
alarm went off we thought that we would
be setting up. This next weekend we will be setting up out at the Expo
Center for the Hallowing gathering. I'm
not sure if it is open to the public or not. You might stop by and see
if it is. If I find out I will post it here this
week sometime. Thank you for your understanding and please keep watch
for us up at the 6th street site.
Things will get worked out so that we can be back on our weekly set up
soon. |

Well everyone, we were going to set up here in
Stillwater this weekend. However Dennis is down sick and
cannot drive the step van. The steering is too loose for me to tackle.
So it looks like it will be next weekend
that we will set up the good Lord willing. I hope that I didn't wait too
long to get this logged in, but we were hoping
that things would work out to set up. Our normal spot to set up at will
now be in front of the Gosney State Farm building.
on 6th Street just west of Boyer's gas station. |
Regarding this last Saturday, well we have learned to not listen to
the weathermen and to rely on the radar. We
thought that since the weathermen stated that there was a 100% chance of
rain that we wouldn't try to set up. What
happened was NO RAIN and we would have had a nice day to set up. Oh well
some days are like that. We will be
setting up this next Sat. though providing the radar does not show rain.
We were going to go to Tulsa's Scottish Games
but have decided that we would rather spend it here in Stillwater. Our
tents were not needed for the Games after all. |
|
Well, we have finally found an alternative location
to set up. It will be in the parking lot of the State Farm office
located on 6th
street, just west of Main St. next to Boyer's. Look for the big red fire
truck and you will find us. After the Payne County Fair we
will be setting up in the new location. |
August 25th
Weather permitting we should be set up. Although, we may wait to set up
until Noon, and only be open for a few hours. Dennis
says that it is suppose to rain in the morning.
Our thanks to our friend Breck for helping us tear down last weekend in
the rain, he was a tremendous help.
Brian, we should have the butterfly knives this weekend. Wendell we
should have those stars you wanted this weekend. |
August 16th
It looks like we are going to set up, if it starts to rain we will of
course close down. If we do get to set up
we will be featuring
our hunting and fishing gear and also gift items
such as pocket watches w/pocket knives, Wildlife knives
and African Wildlife
pocket knives.
Payne County Fair the fair begins on Wed. night Aug. 29th and goes
through Sat. Sept 1st, and we will have a
large booth
this year.
Special note to Brian who was looking for us to
bring the butterfly knives this weekend. We did not get them ordered in
time to
get them by this Friday. We should however have them in time for the
fair. Wendell, I have placed the order for the throwing
stars you are wanting, as of this moment they are on back order. The
stars will run about $4.75 each. Right now I have 2 of the 3"
throwers, these are not light weight and run I believe $15.00 each. |
